Why physical therapy?
Physical therapy generally consists of three important phases: pain relief, strengthening, and functional integration. Some people are apprehensive about physical therapy because they believe it will hurt them; however, the opposite is usually true. Physical therapy is aimed at pain relief and strengthening, and our physical therapist will make sure that your treatment plan won’t bring you any pain or discomfort. This is achieved through several treatment services, such as ice and heat therapies, stretching, bracing, and ultrasound.
Manual therapy is any form of hands-on treatment that is designed to help a part of the body function better.
Aquatic therapy is a type of physical therapy treatment that takes place in water, generally in an in-clinic pool.
Dry needling is a safe and effective method of treatment provided at First Choice Physical Therapy to reduce pain and muscle tension, while simultaneously improving mobility.
Shockwave therapy is a multidisciplinary device used in orthopaedics, physiotherapy, and sports medicine that provides fast pain relief, restores mobility, and accelerates healing.
