Platelet-Rich Therapy

Need a new avenue to treat your pain? Elko Spine is proud to offer Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP), a cutting-edge treatment that uses a patient’s own healing system to repair connective tissues, such as muscles, ligaments, joints, and injured tendons. It involves injecting a patient with a concentration of their own blood platelets. This regenerative therapy has been successful in treating a number of injuries and conditions, such as ACL injuries, rotator cuff tears, plantar fasciitis, hamstring muscle injuries, and arthritis.

How to become a patient

With a referral.  When we receive a referral, we examine the notes from your physician and inspect all previous treatments and imaging. We then determine how we can help you.  Our staff then contacts you to schedule an appointment.  You will be sent an invitation to log on to our patient portal to complete a pre-visit survey of your medical history and information. On the day of the appointment, you'll be invited to fill out any additional pre-visit information via electronic tablet.

 

Without a referral from outside provider.  Yes,  we do accept patients without a referral!  However, our front-desk staff will ask you a number of questions to make sure our providers can actually help with your condition. If we believe you'd benefit from visiting us, we'll set up an appointment. Then you'll be sent  an invitation to log on to our patient portal to complete a pre-visit survey of your medical history and information.
