Our physicians will thoroughly assess your condition, needs and expectations and rule out any serious medical illness to develop a treatment plan.

We will work to establish a diagnosis and determine a treatment plan within realistic short and long term goals.

We employ physicians who specialize in Spine surgery, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine, Neuromuscular Medicine and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

We do epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks and sacroiliac joint injections under fluoroscopy guidance in our office.  We can also perform radiofrequency ablation procedures of the spine and peripheral joints as well as spinal cord stimulator trials comfortably in the office setting.

Botulinum toxin (BOTOX) injections are performed into muscles for spasticity management under electrodiagnostic and/or ultrasound guidance, as well as for migraine headache prevention.

We perform EMG/NCV studies to detect injuries to nerves or muscles.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections can be performed in the office.  This is a regenerative medicine procedure that can help heal chronic tendon, ligament, and arthritic conditions by using your own blood plasma to stimulate tendon and cartilage growth.  The procedure is safe and very simple compared to more invasive surgical treatments.  Please call today to inquire more about this cutting edge procedure.

Musculoskeletal ultrasound is performed in our office when necessary to detect injuries to nerves, tendons, ligaments, muscles or other soft tissue structures such as bursa. We are able to provide injections accurately and relatively safely around nerves, ligaments, muscles, bursa and tendons.

Neuromuscular and Musculoskeletal Diagnosis and Treatment

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

    • Diagnosis using EMG and ultrasound to assess severity with accuracy

    • Conservative treatment including bracing and ultrasound guided injections, as deemed necessary

  • Peripheral neuropathies: EMG diagnosis, workup and treatment

  • Myopathy and neuromuscular disorders

  • Diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pathology using ultrasound

Post-Stroke Care

  • Treatment of painful post stroke disorders

    • Spasticity management using Botox and oral medications

    • Improving function using bracing and rehabilitation

Prosthetics and Orthotics

  • Bracing and prosthetic prescriptions

  • Care for amputation and trauma patients

Spinal Injections

Spinal injections for pain, also called epidural steroid injections, are used to treat painful acute and chronic injuries of the low back and neck. These injections help to relieve the pain of low back and neck injuries and oftentimes prevent the need for surgery.

The procedures are very safe and most can be performed safely and comfortably in the office setting.

What is the advantage of ultrasound guidance in joint injections?

- Visualization of the needle during the procedure ensures the medicine is going to the right place.

- Ultrasound imaging during the procedure reduces the risk of injury to arteries, tendons and nerves.

- Causes less patient discomfort.

- Lower cost compared to x-ray guidance.

Pathology of the Spine

  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions of the spine

    • Disc Herniation/Radiculopathy

    • Myelopathy

    • Facet Syndromes

    • Myofascial Pain Syndromes

    • Degenerative Disc Disease

    • Spinal Cord Injury

Chronic Headache

  • Diagnosis and treatment of chronic migraine

  • Medication management

  • Botox for chronic migraine

  • Interventional and conservative management of painful arthritic joints

  • Euflexxa injections for knee arthritis

  • Platelet-rich plasma injections

  • Cooleif procedure for knee arthritis

What is an electromyograph (EMG) study?

EMG is an electrical test for nerve injuries that can diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome, pinched nerves and muscle disease.
